Ankles and such...

The ankle continues to heal, slowly. Meet my new BFF:

I bought this tensor brace last summer when I had a mild sprain ( I guess that makes this the fourth sprain, not the third.) At the time I didn't really need it but boy am I glad I have it now. I'm finding it's really helping with my mobility.
I'm STILL WAITING for a final diagnosis on my injury, tomorrow I'll be heading down to see my doctor to get some answers.
**Edited to add: Thanks to a fabulous Doctor today who went to bat for me, I finally have results. No fracture! Yay!!**
I have a new page up today. Thank goodness you can scrap with a sprained ankle, it's keeping me sane.

The page's background was made long before I knew what I was going to do with it. I started by using Distress Ink, water and a brayer. Ronda Palazarri has a great tutorial here. Then, I used one of Julie Fei-Fan Balzer's stencils and doodled it inside with Distress Markers. I also used the stencil with Glass Bead Gel.   I added some Italian screen printed paper I bought recently at the Paper Place, some Tim Holtz tissue tape, MME enamel dots, Simple Stories letters and wood veneers and crochet flower from Micheals.

If you are reading this in a reader, pop by and take a look at my new header today, I'd love some feedback.
Thanks for popping by!

Artsy Scrapbooking

This layout was just for fun, pure fun. I played with all kinds of goodies: inks, masks, rub-ons, washi tape, twine, stickers, paper strips, my beautiful girl's photo...you name it. No journaling , no real intent. Just fun solitary scraping with a chick flick one night.

rambling

These days are a bit frustrating. These days I have little control over my daily life. These days I'm not too happy about it. Enter the therapy layout!
I made it with a Momenta damask stencil, patterned paper(PA-1839), alphas (ST-4516), altered chipboard, bling(ST-3087), gesso, distress ink, spray ink, paint, text stamp, a sharpie and a copic makers for shadowing and colouring in the alpha stickers. (Click on the picture too see it bigger...this page is all about the texture!).
I won't bore you with the details, but the therapy layout always helps.
Thanks for peeking!

Inky Tags

Tutorial Tuesday- the Saturday edition!
Well, it's been a while since my last entry and my tutorials have ground to a halt! All I can say is Sean has finished his practical teaching assignment for school and my work hours have finally chilled out, so without further delay here's my next video:

P.S. Since no one actually got my grammar flub on my last video (but did find a few other choice mistakes!) I will keep the giveaway of accordion flowers open for the comments on this post. By the way the lovely term I used was "Not so much great". I think I just felt my English teachers all cringe in unison.
So, leave me a comment and I might send you some of the flowers from the video and some other surprises from out-of-control scrapbook stash!
Thanks for visiting.
