Doors Open and a Great Weekend

Last weekend we headed out to Doors Open, which is my favourite Toronto "festival". Basically, it's when hundreds of privately owned buildings throw open their doors to the city. We weren't very well prepared this year (last time just Sean and I went) but the three of us hit the CBC and The Hillcrest TTC yard. We had a great time!
Here's some very unedited pictures tee hee. Happy 39th sweetie.

Catching up

Here's some pictures from the last week or so:
Sid loves braided pig tales right now. She would wear them everyday if she could. Too bad her Mom grew up with short hair and is REALLY bad at them.
The next shots of Sid fooling around on a long GO train ride with her dollies. Lastly we had our neighbourhood fireworks on Monday night. It's a fun tradition around here. This was the first year Sid wasn't scared. She loved every second!

Some cards....

Mother's day and my parents anniversary fell on the same day this year. Being on the DT team at the Scrapping Turtle has forced me to do more cards so here they are! My Mom was astonished I sewed!!

You know your kid is a sugar addict when...

You give her a two-bite brownie for dessert and she sends it back for sprinkles.

May Sneak Peek

The design team work won't be going up until the 15th, but here's my first project.
It's a Lee Valley Tools Watchmaker's box I had kicking around. (I used to use them for storing gems and findings for jewellery making). I made one for Mom last year but haven't made one up for myself until now. It will hopefully tame the big mess o'jewellery on the bathroom counter. (Imagine that...crafting something pour moi!)
The papers are great (Fancy Pants's Simplicity line) and Hannah at the Scrapping Turtle sent me tonnes of stuff. Woo hoo!
Thanks for looking!!
