It's official!

I'm part of the new Design Team at the Scrapping Turtle! Woo hoo !! I'm still a little in shock. I keep expecting to get an email saying that's it's all a big mistake. Lord I hope Sid grows up to have better self esteem than me!!
What is a design team, you ask? Well basically, the store sends me goodies and I make scrappy stuff out of them. It's a good gig...a real good gig.
What is the Scrapping Turtle? It's a fabulous store in St Jacobs. Kate, Cynthia and I went there last fall. It's also an online store with a great message board community. I get to help with the boards as well. They also have a blog here.
So that's the big news!! Thanks for reading!!!

Patience is a virtue...

Virtue is a grace. Grace is a little girl with a dirty face. Argh. I've got some good news I can't share yet...and it's killing me. Hopefully tonight I'll get the green light...hopefully. All I can say is I've accomplished my big goal for 2008 and it's only March. Yee haw!!
In the mean time here's some Easter pictures.

My (new) favourite layout

This one is paper version of a recent digital layout (although, there is some digi accents on the picture). I literally spent four hours on this. Each of the letters are die cuts using tiny quickutz. I made it while watching Sarah Silverman videos on YouTube and drinking Ecuadorian Rum with with Sean on Friday night. That's my idea of a hot date!

Mom and Dad to a Guinea Pig

Sid and Chas had a sleepover this weekend and decided that Chas is Petal's Dad and Sid's his Mom. And yet, I'm still cleaning the cage.

Spring Fling

For the first day of March break (break?? really ?? whoever came up with that title was not a stay at home Mom for sure) Sid I and met up with Chas and Uncle Chuck and went to Skydome for Spring Fling.

On Chuck's request we went early and it paid off...it was dead. We almost had all the rides to our selves. Awesome! It's weird that Chuck and I like all the same rides and even ordered the same lunch. We must be related!
Now I just have to figure out what to do for the next four days!!
Got some happy mail today from my Secret Santa Swap Sister (say that 5 times fast!!). If only I had time to play!!

Lucky me!!

Cedarvale Ravine & some new layouts

Cedarvale is my favourite park in downtown Toronto. A quick walk from busy St.Clair Ave. and your are in quiet woods. We had a lovely time sledding in the snow, breathing in fresh air and having lots of great winter fun.
